Allergen Information

Although our Unflavored Collagen Peptides are manufactured and packed in a nut free environment, our flavored collagen products contain ingredients sourced through various suppliers. Food and allergy safety is a topic we take very seriously at Protein Essentials, LLC.

In order to be fully transparent with our customers, if a product makes any claim of being packed in an allergen free environment, we print that claim clearly and directly on our products.

If a similar claim is not printed on our product, then the potential for unintentional presence of major food allergens in foods resulting from "cross-contact" situations during manufacturing may exist. The major allergens identified by the FDA are as follows: milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soybeans. Per FDA guidance, we believe a "May Contain Statement" is not a substitute for adhering to current good manufacturing practices.

Even though most of our foods are run on their own lines, and all of our food packing procedures follow good manufacturing practices, we cannot guarantee that there is no chance of "cross-contact". For that reason, we stay in line with the FDA guidelines on food packaging, and do not make any claim that the product is entirely allergen free.
